Honduras Bound

July 11-20 our church is sending a team of 15 to Honduras. Our 9 day trip will focus on construction of a church and a school facility in El Paraiso (approximately 1 ½ hours outside of the capital Tegucigalpa). Our hope is for each of our team members to be open to a life changing experience in both their personal relationship with the Lord and their understanding of the various needs of different cultures. We plan on developing relationships with other Honduran Christians and encouraging the work that is ongoing there.

Our trip is less than 8 weeks away and we need your help in a couple of ways.

Financially: We need assistance from our supporters to raise the last 10% or $2500 of our trip expense. The majority of these funds will go directly to pay for our material and construction cost. Checks can be made payable to BUMC and sent directly to the church office or placed in the Sunday morning offering with a memo Honduras Mission Trip.

Supplies: We are collecting Personal Hygiene Kits in partnership with the United Methodist Women. We are also in need of new or nearly new children’s clothes and shoes.

Prayer: Pray that our team will stay healthy both prior to departure and during the trip.
Pray that the hearts of our Team members will be open for what the Lord has in store for them. Pray for the people of Honduras with whom we will be working

Most importantly, we need your prayer support. Prayer is the fuel that will allow us to be successful as we follow God's leading in ministry in Honduras. Without prayer, nothing will happen.
